And he said: Let the earth bring forth the green herb, and such as may seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after its kind, which may have seed in itself upon the earth. And it was so done.


And God said: Let there be lights made in the firmament of heaven, to divide the day and the night, and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years:


And God said: Be light made. And light was made.


And God made a firmament, and divided the waters that were under the firmament, from those that were above the firmament. And it was so.


God also said: Let the waters that are under the heaven, be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear. And it was so done.


And it was reputed to him unto justice, to generation and generation for evermore.


They did not destroy the nations of which the Lord spoke unto them.


O taste, and see that the Lord is sweet: blessed is the man that hopeth in him.


O Lord, save me, and we will sing our psalms all the days of our life in the house of the Lord.


I am, I am, the Lord: and there is no saviour besides me.


Because I came, and there was not a man: I called, and there was none that would hear. Is my hand shortened and become little, that I cannot redeem? Or is there no strength in me to deliver? Take with you words, and return to the Lord, and say to him: Take away all iniquity, and receive the good: and we will render the calves of our lips.


And the word of the Lord came to Jonas the second time, saying:
