Among them were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Joseph, and the mother of the sons of Zebedee.


and laid it in his own new tomb, which he had cut out in the rock. Then he rolled a large stone in front of the entrance of the tomb and went away.


So give an order that the tomb be made secure until the third day. Otherwise his disciples may come at night, steal his body, and say to the people, ‘He has risen from the dead.’ And the last deception will be worse than the first.”


So they went and made the tomb secure by sealing the stone and leaving the guard.


Now after the Sabbath, as it began to dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb.


Suddenly, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from the sky and came and rolled away the stone from the door and sat on it.


He bought a linen cloth, took him down, wrapped him in the linen cloth, and laid him in a tomb cut out of a rock. Then he rolled a stone against the door of the tomb.


[Now when he had risen early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom he had cast out seven demons.


Then Jesus, once more deeply moved, came to the tomb. Now it was a cave, and a stone lay against it.


So they took away the stone. Jesus lifted up his eyes and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me.


Standing by the cross of Jesus were his mother, his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.


After eight days, again his disciples were inside and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood in the middle of them, and said, “Peace be with y’all.”


On the first day of the week we gathered together to break bread. Paul began speaking to them, and because he was about to depart on the next day, he continued his message until midnight.


On the first day of every week, each of y’all should save some according to your prosperousness, so that no collections are made when I come.


I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and behind me I heard a loud voice like a trumpet
