John 13:1 - Y'all Version Bible

1 It was just before the feast of the Passover. Jesus, knowing that the time had come when he would depart from this world to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.

YHWH appeared of old to me, saying, “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love. Therefore I have drawn you with lovingkindness.


Then he came to his disciples and said to them, “Are y’all still sleeping and resting? Look, the hour is approaching, and the Son of Humanity is being betrayed into the hands of sinners.


teaching them to observe all things that I commanded y’all. And surely I am always with y’all, to the end of the age.”


Every day I was with y’all in the temple, and y’all never laid a hand on me. But this is y’all’s hour, and this is the reign of darkness.”


As the day approached when he would be taken up into heaven, he firmly set his face to go to Jerusalem.


Now the Passover of the Jews was near. Many went up from the country to Jerusalem before the Passover, to purify themselves.


Jesus answered them, “The time has come for the Son of Humanity to be glorified.


Some thought that because Judas had the money box, Jesus was saying to him, “Buy what things we need for the feast,” or that he should give something to the poor.


Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he came from God and was going to God,


A new commandment I give to y’all, that y’all love one another. Just as I have loved y’all, so y’all must love one another.


Y’all heard me say to y’all, ‘I am going away, and I will come back to y’all.’ If y’all loved me, y’all would have rejoiced because I am going to my Father, for the Father is greater than I.


but that the world may know that I love the Father, I do exactly as the Father commanded me. Y’all get up, let’s go from here.


I came from the Father and have come into the world. Again, I leave the world and go to the Father.”


After Jesus said these things, he lifted up his eyes to heaven and said, “Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son so that your Son may glorify you,


They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.


I made known to them your name, and will make it known so that the love with which you loved me may be in them, and I in them.”


Now, Father, glorify me together with yourself in the glory which I had with you before the world existed.


So Jesus, knowing everything that was going to happen to him, went out and said to them, “Who are y’all looking for?”


After this, Jesus, knowing that all things had now been finished in fulfillment of Scripture, said, “I am thirsty!”


When the Jewish Passover was near, Jesus went up to Jerusalem.


Now the Passover, the festival of the Jews, was near.


At this, they tried to take him, but no one laid a hand on him, because his hour had not yet come.


Therefore Jesus said to them, “My time has not yet come, but y’all are ready all the time.


Jesus spoke these words near the offering box as he taught in the temple. Yet no one arrested him, because his hour had not yet come.


No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.


He will also establish y’all until the end, blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.


For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold our initial confidence firmly to the end,


But Christ is faithful as a Son over God’s house. We are ʜɪꜱ house, if we hold fast our confidence and the hope in which we boast.


We passionately desire each of y’all to show the same eagerness for the fulfillment of hope until the end,


Therefore, tightening a belt around y’all’s thoughts and being fully sober-minded, set your* hope fully on the grace that will be brought to y’all at the revelation of Jesus Christ.


We love, because ʜᴇ first loved us.


and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has released us from our sins by his blood—
