The flowers appear on the earth. The time of the singing has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land.


The ox knows his owner, and the donkey his master’s crib; but Israel doesn’t know. My people don’t consider.”


When its boughs are withered, they will be broken off. The women will come and set them on fire, for they are a people of no understanding. Therefore he who made them will not have compassion on them, and he who formed them will show them no favor.


The harp, lyre, tambourine, and flute, with wine, are at their feasts, but they don’t respect the work of YHWH, nor do they consider the work of ʜɪꜱ hands.


“For my people are foolish. They don’t know me. They are foolish children, and they have no understanding. They are skillful in doing evil, but they don’t know how to do good.”


Therefore a lion out of the forest will kill them. A wolf of the evenings will destroy them. A leopard will watch against their cities. Everyone who goes out there will be torn in pieces, because their transgressions are many and their backsliding has increased.


Therefore the law is paralyzed, and justice never prevails. The wicked surround the righteous, so justice comes out perverted.


Then I lifted up my eyes and saw there were two women, and the wind was in their wings. Now they had wings like the wings of a stork, and they lifted up the ephah basket between earth and the sky.
