For Lord YHWH will help me. Therefore I have not been confounded. Therefore I have set my face like a flint, and I know that I won’t be disappointed.


“You therefore put your belt on your waist, arise, and say to them all that I command you. Don’t be dismayed at them, lest I dismay you before them.


They will fight against you, but they will not prevail against you; for I am with you”, says YHWH, “to rescue you.”


Woe is me, my mother, that you have borne me, a man of strife, and a man of contention to the whole earth! I have not lent, neither have men lent to me; yet every one of them curses me.


I will make you to this people a fortified bronze wall. They will fight against you, but they will not prevail against you; for I am with you to save you and to deliver you,” says YHWH.


But YHWH is with me as an awesome mighty one. Therefore my persecutors will stumble, and they won’t prevail. They will be utterly disappointed because they have not dealt wisely, even with an everlasting dishonor which will never be forgotten.


‘YHWH, the God of Israel says, “I am about to turn against y’all the weapons of war that are in your* hands, that y’all are using to fight against the king of Babylon, and against the Chaldeans who besiege y’all outside the walls. I will gather them into the middle of this city.


But the hand of Ahikam the son of Shaphan was with Jeremiah, so that they didn’t give him into the hand of the people to put him to death.


You won’t escape out of his hand, but will be captured-captured and delivered into his hand. Your eyes will see the eyes of the king of Babylon, and he will speak with you mouth to mouth. You will go to Babylon.”’


“YHWH, the God of Israel, says, ‘Y’all are to tell the king of Judah who sent y’all to me to inquire of me: “Look! Pharaoh’s army, which has come out to help y’all, will return to Egypt their own land.


But if you will not go out to the officers of the king of Babylon, then this city will be given into the hand of the Chaldeans, and they will burn it with fire, and you won’t escape from their hand.’”


“YHWH says, ‘Whoever remains in this city will die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, but anyone who goes out to the Chaldeans will live. They will escape with their life and will live.’


Now y’all will know-know that you* die by the sword, famine, and plague in the place where y’all desire to go to live.”


“I have made you a tester of metals and a fortress among my people, that you may know and try their way.


He brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, “You are Simon the son of Jonah. You will be called Cephas” (which is translated Peter).


The one who conquers, I will make into a pillar in the temple of my God, and he will never go out again. I will write on him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from my God, and my own new name.
