By faith Rahab the prostitute didn’t perish with those who were disobedient, and welcomed the spies in peace.


But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without works, and I will show you my faith by my works.


You see that faith was partnered with his works, and by works faith was made complete.


Y’all see that a human is justified by works and not by faith alone.


Joshua the son of Nun secretly sent two men out of Shittim as spies, saying, “Y’all go and inspect the land, including Jericho.” They went and came into the house of a prostitute whose name was Rahab, and slept there.


Then she let them down by a rope through the window, for her house was on the side of the wall, and she lived on the wall.


She said to them, “Y’all should go to the mountain, so the pursuers won’t find y’all. Hide there three days, until the pursuers have returned. Afterward, y’all can go y’all’s way.”


The woman took the two men and hid them. Then she said, “Yes, the men came to me, but I didn’t know where they came from.


But she had brought them up to the roof, and hidden them under the stalks of flax which she had laid in order on the roof.


The city and all that is in it, is to be devoted to YHWH. Only Rahab the prostitute and all who are with her in the house may live, because she hid the messengers that we sent.
