and with the one lamb a tenth part of an ephah of fine flour mixed with the fourth part of a hin of beaten oil, and the fourth part of a hin of wine for a drink offering.


He set the bread in order on it before YHWH, as YHWH commanded Moses.


Among the smooth stones of the valley is your portion. They, they are your lot. You have even poured a drink offering to them. You have offered an offering. Should I be appeased for these things?


Whoever kills an ox is like one who kills a man; whoever sacrifices a lamb, like one who breaks a dog’s neck; whoever offers an offering, like one who offers pig’s blood; whoever burns frankincense, like one who blesses an idol. Yes, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delights in their abominations.


No one will break bread for them in mourning, to comfort them for the dead. No one will give them the cup of consolation to drink for their father or for their mother.


To what purpose does frankincense from Sheba come to me, and the sweet cane from a far country? Y’all’s burnt offerings are not acceptable, and y’all’s sacrifices are not pleasing to me.”

For the life of the flesh is in the blood. I have given it to y’all on the altar to make atonement for y’all’s souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement by reason of the life.


“You must tell to Aaron, ‘None of your offspring throughout their generations who has a defect may approach to offer the bread of his God.


No descendant of Aaron the priest who has a defect is to come near to offer the burnt offerings to YHWH. Since he has a defect, he must not come near to offer the food of his God.

You must sanctify him, for he offers the bread of your God. He will be holy to you, for I, YHWH who sanctifies y’all, am holy.


Yes, though y’all offer me burnt offerings and meal offerings, I will not accept them; And I have no regard for the y’all’s peace offerings of fattened animals.


“Another thing y’all do: y’all cover the altar of YHWH with tears, weeping and groaning because ʜᴇ no longer regards the offering or receives it favorably from your* hand.


“Whoever touches any human dead body will be unclean seven days.


“You are to command the children of Israel, and tell them, ‘Y’all be careful to present my offering, my food for my offerings made by fire, as a pleasant aroma to me, in their appointed time.’


“They are to spread a blue cloth on the table of the Presence, and put on it the dishes, spoons, bowls, and cups for pouring out. The continual bread is to be on it.


I am the living bread which came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. The bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.”


I have not eaten of it in my mourning, neither have I removed any of it while I was unclean, nor given of it for the dead. I have listened to YHWH my God’s voice. I have done according to all that you have commanded me.
