“Now these are your servants and your people, whom you have redeemed by your great power and by your strong hand.


who said to God, ‘Depart from us!’ and, ‘What can the Almighty do for us?’


Hᴇ saved them from the hand of the one who hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.


“Woe to the rebellious children”, says YHWH, “who take counsel, but not from me; and who make an alliance, but not with my Spirit, that they may add sin to sin;


who set out to go down into Egypt without asking for my advice, to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to take refuge in the shadow of Egypt!


Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help, and rely on horses, and trust in chariots because they are many, and in horsemen because they are very strong, but they don’t look to the Holy One of Israel, and they don’t seek YHWH!


Don’t be afraid, you worm Jacob, and you men of Israel. I will help you,” says YHWH. “Your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.


But now YHWH who created you, Jacob, and ʜᴇ who formed you, Israel, says: “Do not be afraid, for I have redeemed you. I have called you by your name. You are mine.


transgressing and denying YHWH, and turning away from following our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.


For he said, “Surely, they are my people, children who will not deal falsely;” so he became their Savior.


YHWH says to this people: “Even so they have loved to wander. They have not restrained their feet. Therefore YHWH does not accept them. Now ʜᴇ will remember their iniquity, and punish them for their sins.”


For y’all have dealt deceitfully against your* own souls. For y’all sent me to YHWH y’all’s God, saying, ‘You must pray for us to YHWH our God. Declare to us all that YHWH our God says, and we will do it.’


“We would have healed Babylon, but she cannot be healed. Y’all must forsake her, and each go to his own land; for her judgment reaches to heaven, and is lifted up even to the skies.


I will cast y’all out of my sight, as I have cast out all y’all’s siblings, even the whole offspring of Ephraim.


The crown has fallen from our head. Woe to us, for we have sinned!


“‘“It has happened after all your wickedness—woe, woe to you!” says Lord YHWH—


“What do y’all mean by using this proverb about the land of Israel, saying, ‘The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children’s teeth are set on edge’?


“Yet y’all say, ‘The way of the Lord is not equal.’ Y’all must listen, house of Israel: Is my way not equal? Is it not y’all’s ways that are unequal?


My sheep wandered through all the mountains and on every high hill. Yes, my sheep were scattered on all the surface of the earth. There was no one who searched or sought.”


Ephraim surrounds me with falsehood, and the house of Israel with deceit. Judah still strays from God, and is unfaithful to the Holy One.


They called to them, so they went from them. They sacrificed to the Baals, and burned incense to engraved images.


They are unfaithful to YHWH; for they have borne illegitimate children. Now the new moon will devour them with their fields.


When I would heal Israel, then the iniquity of Ephraim is uncovered, also the wickedness of Samaria; for they commit falsehood, and the thief enters in, and the gang of robbers ravages outside.


They make the king glad with their wickedness, and the princes with their lies.


Though they raise their children, I will bereave them, until no one is left. Indeed, woe also to them when I depart from them!


My God will cast them away, because they didn’t listen to him; and they will be wanderers among the nations.


Then the men were afraid with massive fear, and said to him, “What have you done?” For the men knew that he was fleeing from the presence of YHWH, because he had told them.


But Jonah got up and fled to Tarshish, away from YHWH’s presence. He went down to Joppa, and found a ship going to Tarshish. He paid its fare, and went aboard to go with them to Tarshish away from YHWH’s presence.


Her rich men are full of violence, her inhabitants speak lies, and their tongue is deceitful in their speech.


For I brought you up out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage. I sent before you Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.


“Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I would have gathered your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but y’all were not willing!


You must remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and YHWH your God redeemed you. Therefore I command you this today.


If we say that we haven’t sinned, we make ʜɪᴍ a liar, and ʜɪꜱ word is not in us.


I looked, and I heard one eagle, flying in midheaven, saying with a loud sound, “Woe! Woe! Woe to those who dwell on the earth, because of the other sounds of the trumpets of the three angels, who are about to trumpet!”
