When Lamech had lived one hundred eighty-two years, he became the father of a son.


Lamech lived after he became the father of Noah five hundred ninety-five years, and he became the father of other sons and daughters.


Every living thing was destroyed that was on the surface of the ground, including humans, livestock, creeping things, and birds of the sky. They were destroyed from the earth. Only Noah was left, and those who were with him in the ark.


When Noah awoke from his wine, he knew what his youngest son had done to him.


“For this is like the waters of Noah to me; for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah will no more go over the earth, so I have sworn that I will not be angry with you, nor rebuke you.
