And Lamech lived a hundred and eighty-two years, and begot a son.


And Lamech lived after he begot Noe, five hundred and ninety-five years, and he begot sons and daughters.


And he destroyed all the substance that was upon the earth, from man to beast, and the creeping things and fowls of the air: and they were destroyed from the earth. And Noe only remained, and they that were with him in the ark.


And Noe awaking from the wine, when he had learned what his younger son had done to him,


This thing is to me as in the days of Noe, to whom I swore that I would no more bring in the waters of Noe upon the earth: so have I sworn not to be angry with thee and not to rebuke thee.


And if these three men, Noe, Daniel and Job, shall be in it: they shall deliver their own souls by their justice, saith the Lord of hosts.


And Noe and Daniel and Job be in the midst thereof: as I live, saith the Lord God, they shall deliver neither son nor daughter, but they shall only deliver their own souls by their justice.


And as in the days of Noe, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.


Who was of Cainan, who was of Arphaxad, who was of Sem, who was of Noe, who was of Lamech,


For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him that made it subject, in hope:


By faith Noe, having received an answer concerning those things which as yet were not seen, moved with fear, framed the ark for the saving of his house, by the which he condemned the world; and was instituted heir of the justice which is by faith.


Which had been some time incredulous, when they waited for the patience of God in the days of Noe, when the ark was a building: wherein a few, that is, eight souls, were saved by water.


And spared not the original world, but preserved Noe, the eighth person, the preacher of justice, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly.
