Midianites who were merchants passed by, and they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmaelites for twenty pieces of silver. The merchants brought Joseph into Egypt.


His brothers asked him, “Are you going to reign-reign over us? Will you really rule-rule over us?” They hated him all the more for his dreams and his words.


“Benjamin is a ravenous wolf. In the morning he will devour the prey. At evening he will divide the plunder.”


I will clothe his enemies with shame, but his crown will shine.”


His descendants will endure forever, his throne like the sun before me.


For the mountains may depart, and the hills be removed, but my lovingkindness will not depart from you, and my covenant of peace will not be removed,” says YHWH who has mercy on you.
