and said, “My lord, if now I have found favor in your sight, please don’t pass over your servant.


See now, your servant has found favor in your sight, and you have magnified your lovingkindness, which you have shown to me in saving my life. I can’t escape to the mountain, because evil will overtake me, and I will die.


Abraham said to his servant, the elder of his house, who ruled over all that he had, “Please put your hand under my thigh.


I have cattle, donkeys, flocks, male servants, and female servants. I have sent to tell my lord, that I may find favor in your sight.’”


Jacob said, “Please, no, if I have now found favor in your sight, then receive my present at my hand, because I have seen your face, as one sees the face of God, and you were pleased with me.


Esau said, “What do you mean by all this company which I met?” Jacob said, “To find favor in the sight of my lord.”


But he refused, and said to his master’s wife, “Look, my master doesn’t concern himself with what is in the house, and he has put all that he has into my hand.


His servant Zimri, captain of half his chariots, conspired against him. Now he was in Tirzah, drinking himself drunk in the house of Arza, who was over the household in Tirzah;


The maiden pleased him, and she obtained kindness from him. He quickly gave her cosmetics and her portions of food, and the seven choice maidens who were to be given her out of the king’s house. He moved her and her maidens to the best place in the women’s house.


The king’s favor is toward a servant who deals wisely, but his wrath is toward one who causes shame.


When a person’s ways please YHWH, Hᴇ causes even their enemies to be at peace with them.


A servant who deals wisely will rule over a son who behaves shamefully, and will have a share in the inheritance among the brothers.


Do you see someone skilled in their work? That one will serve kings, not stand before obscure people.


Whoever tends the fig tree will eat its fruit. The one who looks after their master will be honored.


So you will find favor, and good understanding in the sight of God and people.


Y’all are to keep watch over yourselves and all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made y’all overseers, to shepherd the church of God which ʜᴇ purchased with the blood of ʜɪꜱ own.


The servant who oversaw the harvesters answered, “It is the young Moabite woman who came back with Naomi from the land of Moab.


Saul sent to Jesse, saying, “Please let David stand before me, for he has found favor in my sight.”


The child Samuel grew on, and increased in favor both with YHWH and also with men.
