But God came to Abimelech in a dream of the night, and said to him, “You are about to be a dead man, because of the woman whom you have taken, for she is married to another man.”


When he told this to his father and to his brothers, his father rebuked him, and saying to him, “What is this dream that you have dreamed? Will I and your mother and your brothers come-come and bow down on the land before you?”


There we were, binding sheaves in the field. Suddenly, my sheaf arose and stood upright, and y’all’s sheaves came around and bowed down to my sheaf.”


His brothers asked him, “Are you going to reign-reign over us? Will you really rule-rule over us?” They hated him all the more for his dreams and his words.


Joseph said to Pharaoh, “The dreams of Pharaoh have a single meaning. What God is about to do he has declared to Pharaoh.


The dream was doubled to Pharaoh, because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.


Now Joseph was the governor over the land. It was he who sold to all the people of the land. Joseph’s brothers came, and bowed themselves down to him with their faces to the earth.


When Joseph came home, they brought him the present which was in their hand into the house, and bowed themselves down to the earth before him.


They said, “Your servant, our father, is well. He is still alive.” They bowed down humbly.


Judah and his brothers came to Joseph’s house, and he was still there. They fell on the ground before him.


My lord asked his servants, saying, ‘Have y’all a father, or a brother?’


Now y’all hurry and go up to my father, and y’all tell him, ‘This is what your son Joseph says, “God has made me lord of all Egypt. Come down to me and don’t delay.


Joseph prepared his chariot, and went up to meet Israel, his father, in Goshen. He presented himself to him, and fell on his neck, and wept on his neck a good while.


Joseph provided his father, his brothers, and all of his father’s household with bread, according to the sizes of their families.


It grew great, even to the army of the sky; and it cast down some of the army and of the stars to the ground and trampled on them.


He said, “Now y’all listen to my words. If there is a prophet among y’all, I, YHWH, will make myself known to him in a vision. I will speak with him in a dream.


so that y’all may become blameless and harmless, “children of God without defect in the middle of a crooked and perverse generation,” among whom you shine as lights in the world,
