Now the men of Sodom were exceedingly wicked and sinners against YHWH.


YHWH said, “Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous,


The whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron in the wilderness;


“You must not follow a crowd to do evil. You must not testify in court to side with a multitude to pervert justice.


For they don’t sleep unless they do evil. Their sleep is taken away, unless they make someone fall.


a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are swift in running to mischief,


The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests rule by their own authority; and my people love to have it so. What will y’all do at the end of it?


Their hands are on that which is evil to do it diligently. The ruler and judge ask for a bribe. The powerful man dictates the evil desire of his soul. Thus they conspire together.


“Their feet are swift to shed blood.


As they were making their hearts merry, suddenly, the men of the city, certain wicked fellows, surrounded the house, beating at the door. They spoke to the master of the house, the old man, saying, “Bring out the man who came into your house, that we can have sex with him!”
