Lot went out, and spoke to his sons-in-law, who were pledged to marry his daughters, and said, “Y’all get up and get out of this place! For YHWH will destroy the city!” But he seemed to his sons-in-law to be joking.


But he lingered. So the men grabbed his hand, his wife’s hand, and his two daughters’ hands, and they took him out and set him outside of the city, for YHWH was merciful to him


It came to pass, when they had taken them out, that he said, “Escape for your life! Don’t look behind you, and don’t stay anywhere in the plain. Escape to the mountains, lest you be consumed!”


Hurry, escape there, for I can’t do anything until you get there.” Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.


Hᴇ has brought on them their own iniquity, and will cut them off in their own wickedness. YHWH, our God, will cut them off.


For ʜᴇ says, “At an acceptable time I listened to you. And in the day of salvation I helped you.” Pay attention: now is the acceptable time, now is the day of salvation!


I heard another sound from heaven, saying, “Y’all come out of her, my people, so that y’all won’t share in her sins, and so that y’all don’t receive any of her plagues,
