strengthening the souls of the disciples and encouraging them to continue in the faith, saying, “We must go through many persecutions to enter the Empire of God.”


Now a famine and great suffering came over all of Egypt and Canaan, and our ancestors could not find food.


In the days when the judges ruled, there was a famine in the land. So a man from Bethlehem in Judah went to live for a while in the land of Moab with his wife and his two sons.
