They swore to YHWH with a loud voice, with shouting, with trumpets, and with cornets.


All Judah rejoiced at the oath, for they had sworn with all their heart and sought him with their whole desire; and he was found by them. Then YHWH gave them rest all around.


“Y’all gather my faithful ones to me, those who have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.”


All the people answered together, and said, “All that YHWH has spoken we will do.” Moses reported the words of the people to YHWH.


Moses alone is to come near to YHWH, but the others must not come near. The people may not go up with him.”


He took the book of the covenant and read it in the hearing of the people, and they said, “We will do all that YHWH has said, and we will obey.”


which I commanded y’all’s ancestors in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, out of the iron furnace,’ saying, ‘Y’all must listen to my voice and do all that I command y’all, so that y’all will be my people, and I will be y’all’s God.


“YHWH, the God of Israel, says: ‘I made a covenant with y’all’s ancestors in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery, saying:


This is the word that I covenanted with y’all when y’all came out of Egypt, and my Spirit lived among y’all. ‘Y’all must not be afraid.’


Do we not all have one father? Has not one God created us? Why do we act unfaithfully, each against his brother, profaning the covenant of our ancestors?


Therefore you are to love YHWH your God, and keep ʜɪꜱ instructions, ʜɪꜱ statutes, ʜɪꜱ ordinances, and ʜɪꜱ commandments always.


“Now, Israel, listen to the statutes and to the ordinances which I teach y’all to do, so that y’all may live and go in and take possession of the land which YHWH, the God of y’all’s ancestors, is giving y’all.


These are the testimonies, and the statutes, and the ordinances which Moses spoke to the children of Israel when they came out of Egypt,


Look, I have taught y’all statutes and ordinances, even as YHWH my God commanded me, that y’all would do them in the land y’all are entering to take possession of it.


Moses called to all Israel, and said to them, “Listen, Israel, to the statutes and the ordinances which I declare in y’all’s ears today. Y’all must learn them and attend to doing them.”


But as for you, stand here by me, and I will tell you all the commandments, and the statutes, and the ordinances, which you are to teach them, so that they may do them in the land which I give them to possess.”


Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the ordinances, which YHWH your* God commanded me to teach y’all, so that y’all would do them in the land that y’all go over to possess,


The people said to Joshua, “No, but we will worship YHWH.”


Joshua said to the people, “Y’all are witnesses against yourselves* that y’all have to worship YHWH.” They said, “We are witnesses.”


The people said to Joshua, “We will worship YHWH our God, and we will listen to ʜɪꜱ voice.”
