The time came near that Israel must die, and he called his son Joseph, and said to him, “If now I have found favor in your sight, please put your hand under my thigh, and deal kindly and truly with me. Please don’t bury me in Egypt,


He cried against the altar by the word of YHWH, and said, “Altar! Altar! YHWH says: ‘Look, a son will be born to David’s house, Josiah by name. On you he will sacrifice the priests of the high places who burn incense on you, and they will burn human bones on you.’”


He said, “At this season next year, you will embrace a son.” She said, “No, my lord, you man of God, do not lie to your servant.”


If a man dies, will he live again? I would wait all the days of my warfare, until my release should come.


Seeing his days are determined, the number of his months is with you, and you have appointed his bounds that he can’t pass.


“Isn’t a person forced to labor on earth? Aren’t their days like the days of a hired hand?


Hᴇ settles the childless woman in a home as a joyful mother of children. Y’all praise YHWH!


God will likewise destroy you forever. Hᴇ will take you up, and pluck you out of your tent, and root you out of the land of the living. Selah.


Prepare your work outside, and get your fields ready. Afterwards, build your house.


Does he who plows to sow plow continually? Does he keep turning the soil and breaking the clods?


In those days Hezekiah became sick and was near death. Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, came to him, and said to him, “YHWH says, ‘Set your house in order, for you will die, and not live.’”

“You are to tell him, this is what YHWH says: ‘Watch! What I have built, I will break down, and what I have planted I will pluck up, that is, in the whole land.


The Son of Humanity will send out his angels, and they will gather out of his empire everything that causes stumbling and all who lawbreakers.


But he answered, “Every plant my heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted.


But the angel told him, “Don’t be afraid, Zechariah, because your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to name him John.


Now listen: because you didn’t believe my words, which will be fulfilled at their appointed time, you will be silent and not able to speak until the day this happens.”


And look, even Elizabeth your relative has conceived a son in her old age. She who was called barren is now in her sixth month!


A woman, when she gives birth, has pain because her time has come. But when she has delivered the child, she doesn’t remember the anguish anymore, for the joy that a human being is born into the world.


At this, they tried to take him, but no one laid a hand on him, because his hour had not yet come.


“But as the time of the promise which God had given to Abraham drew near, the people grew and multiplied in Egypt,
