YHWH was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man. He was in the house of his master the Egyptian.


The keeper of the prison didn’t look after anything that was under his hand, because YHWH was with him. Whatever he did, YHWH made it prosper.


I am eighty years old, today. Can I discern between good and bad? Can your servant taste what I eat or what I drink? Can I hear the voice of singing men and singing women any more? Why then should your servant be a burden to my lord the king?


Your servant will just go over the Jordan with the king. Why should the king repay me with such a reward?


All Israel will mourn for him and bury him; for he only of Jeroboam will come to the grave, because in him there is found some good thing toward YHWH, the God of Israel, in the house of Jeroboam.


It will happen, as soon as I leave you, that the Spirit of YHWH will carry you I don’t know where; and so when I come and tell Ahab, and he can’t find you, he will kill me. But I, your servant, have feared YHWH from my youth.
