There is no memory of the former; neither will there be any memory of the latter that are to come, among those that come after.


That which has been is that what will be, and that which has been done is that what will be done; there is nothing new under the sun.


I turned myself to consider wisdom, madness, and folly. What can the king’s successor do than what has been done long ago.


Whatever has been, its name was given long ago; and it is known what humankind is; neither can he contend with him who is mightier than he.


Y’all rejoice and be glad, for great is y’all’s reward in heaven. For that is how they persecuted the prophets who were before y’all.
