Deuteronomy 8:5

I will be his father, and he will be my son. If he commits iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men and with the stripes of the children of men;


then I will punish their sin with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.


Blessed is the man whom you discipline, YHWH, and teach out of your law,


Those who spares the rod hate their child, but one who loves their child is careful to discipline.


My son, don’t despise YHWH’s discipline, neither be weary of his correction;


for whom YHWH loves, he corrects, even as a father reproves the son in whom he delights.


In the day of prosperity be joyful, and in the day of adversity consider; yes, God has made the one side by side with the other, so that no one can find out anything that comes after them.


The ox knows his owner, and the donkey his master’s crib; but Israel doesn’t know. My people don’t consider.”


“Therefore, you son of humanity, pack your bags for exile, and move by day in their sight. You are to move from your place to another place in their sight. Perhaps they will understand, though they are a rebellious house.


Because they consider and turn away from all their transgressions that they have has committed, they will live-live. They will not die.


But when we are judged, we are disciplined by the Lord, so that we may not be condemned along with the world.


and in the wilderness where you saw that YHWH your God carried y’all, as a man carries his son, all the way that y’all went, until y’all came to this place.”


Y’all must be careful not to forget the covenant of YHWH y’all’s God that ʜᴇ made with y’all, and make a idol in the form of anything which YHWH y’all’s God has forbidden for y’all.


Out of heaven he made you to hear his voice, that he might instruct you. On earth he made you to see his great fire; and you heard his words out of the middle of the fire.


Only be careful, and keep your soul diligently, so that you don’t forget the things which your eyes saw, and so they don’t depart from y’all’s heart all the days of your life. You are to teach them to your children and your children’s children—


You must keep the commandments of YHWH your God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him.


All those I love, I rebuke and chasten. So be zealous and repent.
