For I have chosen him so that he may command his children and his household after him, that they may keep the way of YHWH, to do righteousness and justice; to the end that YHWH may bring on Abraham that which he has spoken of him.”


I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.


Yes, even when I am old and gray-haired, God, don’t forsake me, until I have declared your strength to the next generation, your might to everyone who is to come.


and that you may tell in the hearing of your son and your grandson how severely I dealt with Egypt and how I performed signs among them. Then y’all will know that I am YHWH.”


“Y’all must be careful to do all things that I have said to y’all. Y’all must not invoke the name of other gods or even let them be heard out of your lips.


My son, listen to your father’s instruction, and don’t forsake your mother’s teaching;


My son, give me your heart; and let your eyes keep in my ways.


My son, let them not depart from your eyes. Keep sound wisdom and discretion,


My son, keep my words. Lay up my commandments within you.


The living, only the living, can give praises to you, as I do today. A father tells your truth to the children.


You see many things, but don’t observe. His ears are open, but he doesn’t listen.


YHWH says, “Y’all must be careful with your* lives! Y’all must not carry a load on the Sabbath day, nor bring it in by the gates of Jerusalem.


Therefore, y’all should listen carefully. For whoever has will be given more, and whoever doesn’t have, even what they think they have will be taken from them.”


Fathers, y’all must not provoke your* children to anger, but instead y’all are to nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.


Y’all are to teach them to y’all’s children, talking about them when y’all sit in your* house, when y’all walk along the road, when y’all lie down, and when y’all get up.


These are the statutes and the ordinances which y’all are to be careful to do in the land which YHWH, the God of y’all’s ancestors, has given y’all to possess all the days that y’all live on this ground.


You must not eat leavened bread. For seven days, you are to eat unleavened bread, the bread of affliction (for you came out of the land of Egypt in haste) so that you will remember the day when you came out of the land of Egypt all the days of your life.


It is to be with him, and he is to read from it all the days of his life, so that he may learn to fear YHWH his God, to keep all the words of this law and these statutes, to do them;


The secret things belong to YHWH our God; but the things that are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.


“Now y’all are to write this song for yourselves*, and teach it to the children of Israel. Put it in their mouths, that this song may be a witness for me against the children of Israel.


he said to them, “Y’all must take to heart all the words that I testify to y’all today, so that y’all may command y’all’s children to observe and do all the words of this law.


the day that you stood before YHWH your God in Horeb, when YHWH said to me, “Assemble the people to me, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they live on the earth, and that they may teach their children.”


Y’all must guard y’all’s souls carefully, because y’all did not see any form on the day that YHWH spoke to y’all in Horeb from the fire,


Y’all must be careful not to forget the covenant of YHWH y’all’s God that ʜᴇ made with y’all, and make a idol in the form of anything which YHWH y’all’s God has forbidden for y’all.


then be careful not to forget YHWH, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.


that you, your children, and your children’s children would fear YHWH your God all the days of your life by keeping all ʜɪꜱ statutes and commandments, which I command you, so that your days may be prolonged.


When your son asks you in the future, saying, “What is the meaning of the testimonies, the statutes, and the ordinances, which YHWH our God has commanded y’all?”


and you are to teach them diligently to your children, and talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up.


Beware that you do not forget YHWH your God by not keeping ʜɪꜱ commandments, ʜɪꜱ ordinances, ʜɪꜱ his statutes, which I am commanding you today.


then your heart might be lifted up in pride and you forget YHWH your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.


Therefore we must pay greater attention to what we have heard, so that we don’t drift away.


how will we escape if we neglect so great a salvation? It was first spoken through the Lord and was confirmed to us by those who heard him.


You see that faith was partnered with his works, and by works faith was made complete.


Whoever rebels against your commandment, and doesn’t listen to your words in all that you command him must be put to death. Only be strong and courageous.”


So y’all are to guard y’all’s souls very carefully, so that y’all love YHWH y’all’s God.


He spoke to the children of Israel, saying, “When y’all’s children ask their fathers in time to come, saying, ‘What do these stones mean?’


Remember therefore what you have received and heard. Keep it and repent. But if you won’t wake up, I will come like a thief, and you won’t know the hour I will come upon you.


The children of Israel did that which was evil in YHWH’s sight and forgot YHWH their God and served the Baals and the Asheroth.


The children of Israel didn’t remember YHWH their God, who had delivered them out of the hand of all their enemies on every side;
