When Haman saw that Mordecai didn’t bow down nor pay him homage, Haman was full of wrath.


The king arose in his wrath from the banquet of wine and went into the palace garden. Haman stood up to make request for his life to Esther the queen, for he saw that there was evil determined against him by the king.


Surely the wrath of humanity praises you. With the remnant of your of your wrath you are clothed.


The king’s wrath is a messenger of death, but a wise person will appease it.


The proud and arrogant person—named “Scoffer”— works in the arrogance of pride.


I will put it into the hand of those who afflict you, who have said to your soul, ‘Bow down, that we may walk over you;’ and you have laid your back as the ground, like a street to those who walk over.”


Because of this, the king was angry and very furious, and commanded that all the wise men of Babylon be destroyed.


Then Nebuchadnezzar in rage and fury commanded that Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego be brought. Then these men were brought before the king.


He commanded certain mighty men who were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace.


Then the king’s face was changed in him, and his thoughts troubled him; and the joints of his thighs were loosened, and his knees struck one against another.


The king commanded, and they brought those men who had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions—them, their children, and their wives; and the lions mauled them, and broke all their bones in pieces before they came to the bottom of the den.


“‘If after these things y’all will not listen to me, then I will punish y’all seven times for y’all’s sins.


“‘If y’all walk in opposition to me, and y’all aren’t willing to listen to me, then I will bring seven times more contaminations on y’all according to y’all’s sins.


then I opposition also walk contrary to y’all. I will strike y’all, even I, seven times for y’all’s sins.


then in my anger I will walk in opposition to y’all. I myself will chastise y’all seven times for y’all’s sins.


But when they heard this, they were split open with rage and wanted to murder them.
