You said to your servants, ‘Y’all bring him down to me, that I may set my eyes on him.’


For YHWH’s eyes run back and forth throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. You have done foolishly in this; for from now on you will have wars.”


The righteous cry, and YHWH hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.


In the morning watch, YHWH looked out on the Egyptian army through the pillar of fire and of cloud, and confused the Egyptian army.


Destroyers have come on all the bare heights in the wilderness; for the sword of YHWH devours from the one end of the land even to the other end of the land. No flesh has peace.


For I have set my face against this city for disaster, and not for good,” says YHWH. “It will be given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he will burn it with fire.”’


For I will set my eyes on them for good, and I will bring them again to this land. I will build them, and not pull them down. I will plant them, and not pluck them up.


“Take him and keep an eye on him. Don’t harm him, but rather do for him whatever he tells you.”


“You are to go and speak to Ebedmelech the Ethiopian, saying, ‘YHWH Almighty, the God of Israel, says: “I am about to bring my words on this city for disaster, and not for good. They will take place before your face on that day.


“Therefore YHWH Almighty, the God of Israel, says: ‘Look! I am going to set my face against y’all for evil, even to cut off all Judah.


A third part of you will die with the pestilence, and they will be consumed with famine within you. A third part will fall by the sword around you. A third part I will scatter to all the winds, and will draw out a sword after them.


You are to burn a third in the fire at the center of the city when the days of the siege have ended. Then you are to strike a third with the sword all around the city. Scatter a third to the wind, and I will draw out a sword after them.


“‘Any man of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who live as foreigners among them, who eats any kind of blood, I will set my face against that soul who eats blood, and will cut him off from among his people.


I will scatter y’all among the nations, and I will draw out a sword after y’all. Y’all’s land will become desolate, and y’all’s cities will become waste.


Look, the eyes of Lord YHWH are on the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the surface of the earth, except that I will not completely destroy-destroy the house of Jacob,” says YHWH.


For before those days there was no wages for man nor any wages for an animal, neither was there any peace to him who went out or came in, because of the adversary. For I set all men everyone against his neighbor.
