YHWH says, “What unrighteousness have y’all’s ancestors found in me, that they have gone far from me, and have walked after worthless vanity, and have become worthless?


Then the priests and the prophets spoke to the officials and to all the people, saying, “This man is worthy of death, for he has prophesied against this city, as y’all have heard with your* own ears.”


Since the day that y’all’s ancestors came out of the land of Egypt to this day, I have sent all my servants the prophets to y’all, rising up early every day and sending them.


Her nobles were purer than snow. They were whiter than milk. They were more ruddy in body than rubies. Their polishing was like sapphire.

I will raise them up a prophet from among their people, like you. I will put my words in his mouth, and he will speak to them everything that I command him.


Saul sent messengers to seize David; and when they saw the company of the prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as head over them, the Spirit of God came on Saul’s messengers, and they also prophesied.


All Israel from Dan even to Beersheba knew that Samuel was established to be a prophet of YHWH.
