Peter said to them, “Y’all must repent and be baptized, every one of y’all, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your* sins. And y’all will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.


Then those who received his word were baptized, and about three thousand souls were added to their number that day.


came and stood beside saying, ‘Brother Saul, receive your sight!’ In that very moment, I was able to see him.


And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on his name.’


So Ananias departed and entered the house. He placed his hands on him and said, “Brother Saul, the Lord, who appeared to you on the road by which you came, has sent me that you may regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”


After taking some food, he regained his strength. For several days Saul stayed with the disciples in Damascus.


Saul got from the ground, and though his eyes were opened, he couldn’t see anything. So they led him by the hand and took him to Damascus.


But their minds were hardened, for to this day, when the old covenant is read, the same veil remains. It has not been drawn back, because only in Christ does it fade away.


For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” is the one who shined in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
