“Y’all listen to me, those who know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law. Y’all must not fear the reproach of men, and don’t be dismayed at their insults.


I will rejoice-rejoice in YHWH! My soul will be joyful in my God, for ʜᴇ has clothed me with the garments of salvation. Hᴇ has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.


Look! My servants will sing for joy of heart, but y’all will cry from anguish of the heart, and will wail for a crushed spirit.


Hear the word of YHWH, y’all who tremble at ʜɪꜱ word: “Your* brothers who hate y’all, who cast y’all out for my name’s sake, have said, ‘Let YHWH be glorified, that we may see y’all’s joy;’ but it is those who will be disappointed.


Blessed are y’all when humans hate you*, and when they exclude and mock y’all, and reject y’all’s name as evil because of the Son of Humanity.


But they will do all these things to y’all for my name’s sake, because they don’t know him who sent me.


Then Paul replied, “What are y’all doing, weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.”


Hearing this, they entered the temple at daybreak and began teaching. Now when the high priest and those who were with him arrived, they called together the Sanhedrin—the entire high council of the sons of Israel—and they sent orders to the prison to have them brought.


Not only this, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces perseverance,


For Christ’s sake, I take pleasure in weaknesses, in insults, in troubles, in persecutions, and in tight squeezes. For when I am weak, then I am strong.


For it has been granted to y’all on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in him, but also to suffer on his behalf,


For y’all shared with the sufferings of those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your* property, knowing that y’all have a better possession and more lasting possession.


fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.


Y’all should consider it all joy, my siblings, when y’all fall into various trials,


because they went out for the sake of the Name, accepting nothing from the ethnic groups.
