But some of the believers who belonged to the party of the Pharisees stood up and said, “It is necessary to circumcise them and to command them to keep the law of Moses.”

But when Paul noticed that some of them were Sadducees and others were Pharisees, he called out in the Council, “Brothers, I am a Pharisee, a son of Pharisees. I am being judged because of the hope and resurrection of the dead!”


But this I admit to you that, according to the Way which they call a sect, I serve the God of our ancestors, believing everything in accordance with the Law and what is written in the prophets.


For we have found this man to be a plague, one who stirs up riots among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader the Nazarene sect.
