Then the king said to me, “What is your request?” So I prayed to the God of heaven.


Then the king asked her, “What would you like, queen Esther? What is your request? It will be given you even to the half of the kingdom.”


The king said again to Esther on the second day at the banquet of wine, “What is your petition, queen Esther? It will be granted you. What is your request? Even to the half of the kingdom it will be done.”


The king said to Esther the queen, “The Jews have slain and destroyed five hundred men in the citadel of Susa, including the ten sons of Haman; what then have they done in the rest of the king’s provinces! Now what is your petition? It will be granted you. What is your further request? It will be done.”

He said, “The Jews have agreed to ask you to bring Paul down to the Council tomorrow, as though they intended to ask for more accurate information about him.
