strengthening the souls of the disciples and encouraging them to continue in the faith, saying, “We must go through many persecutions to enter the Empire of God.”


When Silas and Timothy came down from Macedonia, Paul devoted himself to preaching the word, testifying to the Jews that Jesus was the Christ.


testifying to both Jews and to Greeks repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus.


But I don’t consider my life worth even a single mention. Instead I aim to finish my race and the deacon-work which I received from the Lord Jesus—to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.


He came to us, took Paul’s belt, tied his feet and hands, and said, “This is what the Holy Spirit says: ‘The Jews in Jerusalem will bind the man who owns this belt, and will deliver him into the hands of the ethnic groups.’”


Then the commander came up and arrested him, and he ordered that he be bound with two chains. Then he asked who he was and what he had done.


After we located the disciples, we stayed there seven days. Through the Spirit, they told Paul not to set foot in Jerusalem.


The Spirit told Philip, “Go over and join that chariot.”


I will show him how much he must suffer on behalf of my name.”


so that no one would be shaken by these oppressions. For y’all know that we are destined to this.


But the Spirit clearly says that in later times, some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to seducing spirits and teaching of demons,


If we endure, we will also reign with him. If we deny him, he also will deny us.
