21 After this had taken place, Paul determined in the Spirit to go to Jerusalem, passing through Macedonia and Achaia. He said, “After I have been there, I must see Rome as well.”

Who is he who says, and it comes to pass, when the Lord doesn’t command it?


and from there to Philippi, a Roman colony and a primary city in the district Macedonia. We stayed in this city for several days.


When Gallio was proconsul of Achaia, the Jews united with one mind to attack Paul and brought him before the place of judgment,


Instead, he said farewell and added, “I will come back to y’all if God wills.” Then he set sail from Ephesus.


He sent two of his assistants, Timothy and Erastus, to Macedonia, and he stayed in Asia for a while.


Then the whole city was filled with the uproar, and they rushed into the theater with one mind, dragging along Gaius and Aristarchus, Paul’s traveling companions from Macedonia.


Paul had decided to sail past Ephesus to avoid spending time in the province of Asia, for he was hurrying to be in Jerusalem, if possible, on the day of Pentecost.


And now, bound by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there,


When we arrived in Jerusalem, the siblings welcomed us with joy.


After we located the disciples, we stayed there seven days. Through the Spirit, they told Paul not to set foot in Jerusalem.


The following night, the Lord stood by him and said, “Take courage! As you have testified about me in Jerusalem, so it is necessary for you to testify in Rome.”


When it was decided that we should sail to Italy, they delivered Paul and certain other prisoners to a centurion of the Imperial Regiment named Julius.


and said, ‘Don’t be afraid, Paul. It is necessary for you to appear before Caesar. See, God has graciously given you all those who sail with you.’


When we entered Rome, Paul was allowed to live by himself with the soldier who guarded him.


For I long to see y’all, that I may impart to you* some spiritual gift so that y’all may be established;


Now I don’t want y’all to be unaware, siblings, that I often planned to come to y’all (but was hindered so far), that I might have some fruit among you*, just as I had among the rest of the ethnic groups.


So as much as is in me, I am eager to preach the gospel to y’all also who are in Rome.


I will come to y’all when I have passed through Macedonia, for I am passing through Macedonia.


But I will come to y’all very soon if the Lord is willing. And I will find out, not just what the arrogant are saying, but about their power.


so that we might preach the gospel in the regions beyond y’all, not boasting about what has been done in someone else’s area.


Then after fourteen years, I went up to Jerusalem again with Barnabas, taking along Titus also.


As a result, y’all became an example to all the believers in Macedonia and Achaia.
