The wicked flee when no one pursues; but the righteous are as bold as a lion.


Look, you will call a nation that you don’t know; and a nation that didn’t know you will run to you, because of YHWH your God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he has glorified you.”


They, whether they will hear, or whether they will refuse—for they are a rebellious house—yet they will know that there has been a prophet among them.


Rather, y’all must go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.


They told him, “He will bring those wretches to a wretched end, and will lease out the vineyard to other tenants who will give him the proceeds at harvest time.”


“Therefore I tell y’all that the Empire of God will be taken away from y’all and will be given to an ethnic group producing its fruit.


They will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”


and that repentance for the forgiveness of sins would be preached in his name to all ethnic groups, beginning at Jerusalem.


He came to his own, but his own didn’t receive him.


Y’all worship what y’all don’t know. We worship what we know, because salvation is from the Jews.

Now when they observed the fearless confidence of Peter and John, and it grasped them that they were uneducated, ordinary humans, they marveled, and they recognized that they had been with Jesus.


“Y’all stiff-necked people with uncircumcised hearts and ears! Y’all are always resisting the Holy Spirit, just like your* ancestors did.


Immediately in the synagogues he proclaimed that Jesus is the Son of God.


For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first, and also for the Greek.


But glory, honor, and peace go to every person who does good, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.


They have moved me to jealousy with what is not God. They have provoked me to anger with their vanities. I will move them to jealousy with those who are not a people. I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.


and most of the siblings, having confidence in the Lord because of my imprisonment, dare all the more to speak the word of God without fear.


quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, were made strong in weakness, grew mighty in war, and put foreign armies to flight.
