They struck the men who were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great, so that they wearied themselves to find the door.


Now the king of Syria was at war against Israel. He took counsel with his servants, saying, “My camp will be in such and such a place.”


“Y’all have pity on me, Y’all have pity on me, my friends, for the hand of God has touched me.


For day and night your hand was heavy on me. My strength was sapped as in the heat of summer. Selah.


For your arrows have pierced me, your hand presses hard on me.


YHWH’s hand is on your livestock which are in the field, on the horses, on the donkeys, on the camels, on the herds, and on the flocks with a very grievous pestilence.


For YHWH has poured out on y’all a spirit of deep sleep, and has closed y’all’s eyes, the prophets; and he has covered y’all’s heads, the seers.


Jesus said, “I came into this world for judgment, that those who don’t see may see and that those who see may become blind.”


So Ananias departed and entered the house. He placed his hands on him and said, “Brother Saul, the Lord, who appeared to you on the road by which you came, has sent me that you may regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”


For I don’t want y’all to be ignorant, siblings, of this mystery, so that y’all won’t be conceited, that a partial hardening has happened to Israel, until the fullness of the ethnic groups has come in,


It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God.


These people are wells without water and mists driven by a storm, for whom the blackness of darkness has been reserved.


They sent therefore and gathered together all the lords of the Philistines, and they said, “Y’all must send the ark of the God of Israel away, and let it go again to its own place, that it not kill us and our people.” For there was a deadly panic throughout all the city. The hand of God was very heavy there.


It was so, that after they had carried it there, YHWH’s hand was against the city with a very great confusion; and he struck the men of the city, both small and great, so that tumors broke out on them.
