David said on that day, “Whoever strikes the Jebusites, let him go up to the watercourse and strike those lame and blind, who are hated by David’s soul.” Therefore they say, “The blind and the lame can’t come into the house.”


David lived in the stronghold, and called it David’s city. David built around from Millo and inward.


So David would not move the ark of YHWH to be with him in David’s city; but David carried it aside into Obed-Edom the Gittite’s house.


King David was told, “YHWH has blessed the house of Obed-Edom, and all that belongs to him, because of the ark of God.” So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed-Edom into David’s city with joy.


As the ark of YHWH came into David’s city, Michal the daughter of Saul looked out through the window. When saw King David leaping and dancing before YHWH, she despised him in her heart.


David slept with his fathers, and was buried in David’s city.


Solomon made a marriage alliance with Pharaoh king of Egypt. He took Pharaoh’s daughter and brought her into David’s city until he had finished building his own house, the house of YHWH, and the wall around Jerusalem.


Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel with all the heads of the tribes, the princes of the fathers’ households of the children of Israel, to King Solomon in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of YHWH’s covenant out of David’s city, which is Zion.


But Pharaoh’s daughter came up out of David’s city to her house which Solomon had built for her. Then he built Millo.


David lived in the stronghold; therefore they called it David’s city.


They buried him in David’s city among the kings, because he had done good in Israel, and toward God and his house.


Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the princes of the fathers’ households of the children of Israel, to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of YHWH’s covenant out of David’s city, which is Zion.


Shallun the son of Colhozeh, the ruler of the district of Mizpah, repaired the spring gate. He built it, covered it, and set up its doors, its bolts, and its bars; and he repaired the wall of the pool of Shelah by the king’s garden, even to the stairs that go down from David’s city.


For YHWH has chosen Zion. Hᴇ has desired it for ʜɪꜱ habitation.


“I have installed my King on Zion, my holy mountain.”


Y’all walk about Zion, and encircle her. Y’all count her towers.


God has shown ʜɪᴍꜱᴇʟꜰ in her citadels as a refuge.


Do well in your good pleasure to Zion. Build the walls of Jerusalem.


YHWH loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.


Y’all sing praises to YHWH, who dwells in Zion, y’all declare among the people what ʜᴇ has done.


Cry and shout, you inhabitant of Zion, for the Holy One of Israel is great among you!”


“A Redeemer will come to Zion, and to those who turn from disobedience in Jacob,” says YHWH.


Look! I am against you, O inhabitant of the valley, and of the rock of the plain,’ says YHWH. ‘You that say, “Who would come down against us?” or, “Who would enter into our homes?”


Many nations will go and say, “Y’all come! Let’s go up to the mountain of YHWH, and to the house of the God of Jacob. Hᴇ will teach us ʜɪꜱ ways, and we may walk in ʜɪꜱ paths.” For the law will proceed out from Zion, and the word of YHWH from Jerusalem;


even as it is written, “Look, I am setting a stumbling stone and a rock of offense in Zion, and no one who believes in him will be disappointed.”


But y’all have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable multitude of angels,


I looked, and there was the Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with him were a 144,000 who had his name and his Father’s name written on their foreheads.
