The king said, “Is the hand of Joab with you in all this?” The woman answered, “As your soul lives, my lord the king, no one can turn to the right hand or to the left from anything that my lord the king has spoken; for your servant Joab urged me, and he put all these words in the mouth of your servant.


Then Zedekiah the king sent and took Jeremiah the prophet to himself into the third entry that is in the house of YHWH. Then the king said to Jeremiah, “I am going to ask you something. Do not hide anything from me.”


But if the officials hear that I have talked with you, and they come to you and tell you, ‘Tell us what you said to the king and tell us what the king said to you. Don’t hide it from us, and we will not put you to death.’
