She said, “As YHWH your God lives, I don’t have anything baked, but only a handful of meal in a jar and a little oil in a jar. I am gathering two sticks, so that I may go in and bake it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die.”


When they had gone over, Elijah said to Elisha, “Ask what I should do for you, before I am taken from you.” Elisha said, “Please let a double portion of your spirit be on me.”


Then he said, “Go, borrow empty containers from all your neighbors. Don’t borrow just a few containers.


YHWH said to him, “What is that in your hand?” He said, “A staff.”


Jesus said to them, “How many loaves do y’all have?” They replied, “Seven, and a few small fish.”


But Peter said, “I have no silver or gold, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth—walk!”


as sorrowful yet always rejoicing, as poor yet making many rich, as having nothing and yet possessing all everything.


Y’all listen, my beloved siblings. Didn’t God choose those who are poor in this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the empire which ʜᴇ promised to those who love ʜɪᴍ?
