And when they had gone across, Elijah said to Elisha, "Ask what you wish that I may do for you, before I am taken from you." And Elisha said, "I beg you, that twice your spirit may be accomplished in me."


And he said to her: "Go, ask to borrow from all your neighbors empty vessels, more than a few.


Therefore, he said to him, "What is that you hold in your hand?" He answered, "A staff."


And Jesus said to them, "How many loaves of bread do you have?" But they said, "Seven, and a few little fish."


But Peter said: "Silver and gold is not mine. But what I have, I give to you. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, rise up and walk."


as if sorrowful and yet always rejoicing; as if needy and yet enriching many; as if having nothing and possessing everything.


My most beloved brothers, listen. Has not God chosen the poor in this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom that God has promised to those who love him?
