2 Kings 24:2 - Y'all Version Bible

2 YHWH sent against him bands of the Chaldeans, bands of the Syrians, bands of the Moabites, and bands of the children of Ammon, and sent them against Judah to destroy it, according to the word of YHWH which he spoke by his servants the prophets.

‘Look, the days come that all that is in your house, and that which your fathers have laid up in store to this day, will be carried to Babylon. Nothing will be left,’ says YHWH.


“YHWH says, ‘Look, I will bring evil on this place and on its inhabitants, even all the words of the book which the king of Judah has read.


YHWH said, “I will also remove Judah out of my sight, as I have removed Israel; and I will cast off this city which I have chosen, even Jerusalem, and the house of which I said, ‘My name will be there.’”


He prepared a great feast for them. After they ate and drank, he sent them away and they went to their master. So the bands of Syria stopped raiding the land of Israel.


Therefore YHWH brought on them the captains of the army of the king of Assyria, who took Manasseh in chains, bound him with fetters, and carried him to Babylon.


While he was still speaking, another came and said, “The Chaldeans made three bands, and swept down on the camels, and have taken them away, yes, and killed the servants with the edge of the sword, and I alone have escaped to tell you.”


They come from a far country, from the uttermost part of heaven, even YHWH, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.


As often as it passes through, it will seize y’all. For it will pass through, morning by morning and day and by night. And it will be nothing but terror to understand the message.”


YHWH will bring on you, on your people, and on your father’s house a time that has not come since day that Ephraim departed from Judah: the king of Assyria!


Is my inheritance to me as a speckled bird of prey? Are the birds of prey against her all around? Y’all go and gather all the animals of the field. Y’all are to bring them to devour.


The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah (this was the first year of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon),


I will send and take all the families of the north,” says YHWH, “and I will send to Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against its inhabitants, and against all these nations around. I will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and a hissing, and perpetual desolations.


There was also a man who prophesied in the name of YHWH, Uriah the son of Shemaiah of Kiriath Jearim; and he prophesied against this city and against this land according to all the words of Jeremiah.


then I will make this house like Shiloh, and will make this city a curse to all the nations of the earth.’”


Therefore YHWH says: I am about to give this city into the hand of the Chaldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and he will take it.


But when Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up into the land, we said, ‘Y’all come! Let’s go to Jerusalem to get away from the Chaldean and Aramean army. So we have dwelt in Jerusalem.’”


This is the number of the people whom Nebuchadnezzar carried away captive: in the seventh year, 3,023 Jews;


Zion spreads out her hands. There is no one to comfort her. YHWH has commanded concerning Jacob, that those who are around him should be his adversaries. Jerusalem is among them as an unclean thing.


Then the nations attacked him on every side from the provinces. They spread their net over him, and he was taken in their pit.


the Babylonians and all the Chaldeans, Pekod, Shoa, Koa, and all the Assyrians with them; all of them desirable young men, governors and rulers, princes and men of renown, all of them riding on horses.


Therefore because of y’all, Zion will be plowed like a field, and Jerusalem will become a heap of ruins, and the mountain of the temple like the high places of a forest.


Look! I am raising up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation. They march through the width of the earth, to possess dwelling places that are not theirs.
