He built the inner court with three courses of cut stone and a course of cedar beams.


The great court around had three courses of cut stone with a course of cedar beams, like the inner court of the house of YHWH and the porch of the house.


The king broke down the altars that were on the roof of the upper room of Ahaz, which the kings of Judah had made, and the altars which Manasseh had made in the two courts of the house of YHWH, and beat them down from there, and cast their dust into the brook Kidron.


The king commanded Hilkiah the high priest, and the priests of the second order, and the keepers of the threshold, to bring out of the temple of YHWH all the vessels that were made for Baal, for the Asherah, and for all the army of the sky; and he burned them outside of Jerusalem in the fields of the Kidron, and carried their ashes to Bethel.


He got rid of the idolatrous priests whom the kings of Judah had ordained to burn incense in the high places in the cities of Judah and in the places around Jerusalem; those also who burned incense to Baal, to the sun, to the moon, to the planets, and to all the army of the sky.


He brought out the Asherah from the house of YHWH, outside of Jerusalem, to the brook Kidron, and burned it at the brook Kidron, and beat it to dust, and cast its dust on the graves of the common people.


He took away the foreign gods and the idol out of the house of YHWH, and all the altars that he had built in the mountain of the house of YHWH and in Jerusalem, and cast them out of the city.


He built altars for all the army of the sky in the two courts of the house of YHWH.


Furthermore he made the court of the priests, the great court, and doors for the court, and overlaid their doors with bronze.


Then he brought me to the inner court by the south gate. He measured the south gate according to these measurements;


He brought me into the inner court toward the east. He measured the gate according to these measurements;


Its posts were toward the outer court. Palm trees were on its posts on this side and on that side. The ascent to it had eight steps.


He measured the court, one hundred cubits long and one hundred cubits wide, square. The altar was before the house.


Opposite the twenty cubits which belonged to the inner court, and opposite the pavement which belonged to the outer court, was gallery against gallery in the three stories.


The Spirit took me up and brought me into the inner court, and I saw the glory of YHWH filling the house.


When they go out into the outer court, even into the outer court to the people, they are to take off the clothes they minister in and leave them in the holy rooms. They are to put on other garments, so that they do not sanctify the people with their garments.


He brought me into the inner court of the house of YHWH; and I saw at the door of the temple of YHWH, between the porch and the altar, there were about twenty-five men with their backs toward the temple of YHWH and their faces toward the east. They were worshiping the sun toward the east.
