Because of your raging against me, and because your arrogance has come up into my ears, therefore I will put my hook in your nose, and my bridle in your lips, and I will turn you back by the way by which you came.’


He will return the same way that he came, and he will not come to this city,’ says YHWH.


For the Lord had made the army of the Syrians to hear the sound of chariots and the sound of horses, even the noise of a great army; and they said to one another, “Look, the king of Israel has hired the kings of the Hittites and Egyptians to attack us.”


YHWH sent an angel, who cut off all the mighty men of valor, the leaders, and captains in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he returned with shame of face to his own land. When he had come into the house of his god, those who came out of his own body killed him there with the sword.


A sound of terrors is in his ears. In prosperity the destroyer will come on him.


By the breath of God they perish. By the blast of ʜɪꜱ anger are they consumed.


On the wicked ʜᴇ will rain burning coals and brimstone, a scorching wind will be the portion in their cup.


Our God comes, and does not keep silent. A fire devours before ʜɪᴍ. It is very stormy around ʜɪᴍ.


Hᴇ has brought on them their own iniquity, and will cut them off in their own wickedness. YHWH, our God, will cut them off.


but he will judge the poor with righteousness, and decide with equity for the humble of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth; and with the breath of his lips he will kill the wicked.


I have heard a message from YHWH, and an ambassador is sent among the nations, saying, “Y’all get together and come against her! Y’all rise up for war!”


YHWH says: “I am about to raise up against Babylon, and against those who dwell in Lebkamai, a destroying wind.


Y’all must not lose heart faint, and y’all must not fear the reports that will be heard in the land. For reports will come one year, and after that in another year news will come, and violence in the land, ruler against ruler.
