The king of Assyria sent Tartan, Rabsaris, and Rabshakeh from Lachish to King Hezekiah with a great army to Jerusalem. They went up and came to Jerusalem. When they had come up, they came and stood by the conduit of the upper pool, which is in the highway of the fuller’s field.


Don’t let Hezekiah convince y’all to trust in YHWH, saying, “YHWH will deliver-deliver us, and this city will not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.”


Who are they among all the gods of the countries, that have delivered their country out of my hand, that YHWH should deliver Jerusalem out of my hand?’”


Whom have you defied and blasphemed? Against whom have you exalted your voice and lifted up your eyes on high? Against the Holy One of Israel!


So the servants of King Hezekiah came to Isaiah.


He answered, “Don’t be afraid, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”


and he said, “Y’all must listen, King Jehoshaphat along with all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem. YHWH says to y’all, ‘Y’all must not be afraid or dismayed because of this vast number. For the battle is not y’all’s, but God’s.


Y’all will not have to fight this battle. Take your* positions, stand still, and see the salvation of YHWH with y’all, Judah and Jerusalem. Y’all must be afraid or be dismayed. Go out against them tomorrow, for YHWH is with y’all.’”


Remember this, that the enemy has mocked you, YHWH. Foolish people have blasphemed your name.


Don’t forget the voice of your adversaries. The tumult of those who rise up against you ascends continually.


Moses said to the people, “Y’all must not fear. Stand firm and y’all will see the deliverance YHWH will accomplish for y’all today. The Egyptians y’all see today, y’all will never see again.


Therefore the Lord, YHWH Almighty, says, “My people who dwell in Zion, don’t be afraid of the Assyrian, though he strike you with the rod, and lift up his staff against you, as Egypt did.


“Y’all listen to me, those who know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law. Y’all must not fear the reproach of men, and don’t be dismayed at their insults.


and said to them, “YHWH, the God of Israel, to whom y’all sent me to present your* petition before ʜɪᴍ, says:


You came near in the day that I called on you. You said, “Don’t be afraid.”


Five of y’all will chase a hundred, and a hundred of y’all will chase ten thousand; and y’all’s enemies will fall before y’all by the sword.


When you go out to battle against your enemies, and see horses, chariots, and a people more numerous than you, you are not to be afraid of them; for YHWH your God, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt, is with you.


YHWH said to Joshua, “Don’t be afraid because of them; for tomorrow at this time, I will deliver them up all slain before Israel. You must hamstring their horses and burn their chariots with fire.”


It opened its mouth in blasphemies against God, to blaspheme ʜɪꜱ name, ʜɪꜱ dwelling place, and those who dwell in heaven.
