Then the princes of the fathers’ households, and the princes of the tribes of Israel, and the captains of thousands and of hundreds, with the rulers over the king’s work, offered willingly;

He gathered together the priests and the Levites, and said to them, “Y’all are to go out to the cities of Judah, and gather money to repair the house of y’all’s God from all Israel from annually. Y’all must do this quickly.” However the Levites didn’t do it right away.


For the sons of Athaliah, that wicked woman, had broken up God’s house and they even used the dedicated things from the house of YHWH for the Baals.


They are to give this, everyone who passes over to those who are counted, half a shekel according to the shekel of the sanctuary (the shekel is twenty gerahs); half a shekel for an offering to YHWH.


Those who will be of you will build the old waste places. You will raise up the foundations of many generations. You will be called Repairer of the Breach, Restorer of Paths with Dwellings.


“Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, ‘When a man consecrates a person to YHWH in a vow, according to your valuation,


Every firstborn flesh that opens the womb, both of human and animal, presented to YHWH is yours. Nevertheless, you are to redeem-redeem a human firstborn and redeem the firstborn of unclean animals.
