to all who are in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace and peace to y’all from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.


Grace and peace to y’all from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ,


We sent Timothy, our sibling and God’s deacon in the gospel of Christ, to strengthen y’all and encourage your* faith,


I thank the one who has given me strength, Christ Jesus our Lord, because he counted me faithful, appointing me to deacon-work,


I commit this instruction to you, my child Timothy, according to the prophecies which were once made concerning you, that by them you may fight the excellent battle,


Timothy, you must guard what has been entrusted to you, turning away from empty chitchat and opposing what is falsely called “knowledge,”


to Timothy, my beloved child: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.


You therefore, my child, be strengthened in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.


To Titus, my true child according to a common faith: Grace and peace from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior.


Older men are to be temperate, worthy of respect, self-controlled, sound in faith, in love, and in perseverance.
