Moses said, “Now YHWH will give y’all meat to eat in the evening and bread to satisfy y’all in the morning, because YHWH hears y’all’s grumbling which y’all grumble against ʜɪᴍ. And who are we? Y’all’s grumblings are not against us, but against YHWH.”


I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears on them, because when I called, no one answered; when I spoke, they didn’t listen, but they did that which was evil in my eyes, and chose that in which I didn’t delight.”


At the end of seven years, each of y’all will release their Hebrew sibling, who has been sold to you. After they have served six years, you are to let them go free. But y’all’s ancestors didn’t listen to me, and didn’t incline their ear.


He said to me, “Son of humanity, I send you to the children of Israel, to a nation of rebels who have rebelled against me. They and their fathers have transgressed against me even to this very day.

“When y’all saw that Nahash the king of the children of Ammon came against you*, y’all said to me, ‘No, a king must reign over us,’ when YHWH your* God was y’all’s king.


YHWH said to Samuel, “Listen to their voice and appoint a king for them.” Samuel said to the men of Israel, “Each of y’all, go to your own city.”


According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt even to this day, in that they have forsaken me and served other gods, so they also do to you.
