The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “I will disguise myself and go into the battle, but you put on your robes.” The king of Israel disguised himself and went into the battle.


A certain man drew his bow at random, and struck the king of Israel between the joints of the armor. Therefore he said to the driver of his chariot, “Turn around, and carry me out of the battle, for I am severely wounded.”


So Saul died for his trespass which he committed against YHWH, because of the word of YHWH, which he didn’t keep, and also because he asked counsel of one who had a familiar spirit, to inquire,


The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “I will disguise myself, and go into the battle; but you put on your robes.” So the king of Israel disguised himself; and they went into the battle.


Nevertheless Josiah would not turn his face from him, but disguised himself, that he might fight with him, and didn’t listen to the words of Neco from the mouth of God, and came to fight in the valley of Megiddo.


When they say to y’all, “Y’all should consult with mediums and spiritists who chirp and mutter,” shouldn’t a people consult their God? Should they inquire of the dead on behalf of the living?

In their sight, you are to load it on your shoulders and carry it out in the dark. You are to cover your face, so that you don’t see the land, for I have set you for a sign to the house of Israel.”


This is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, but humans loved the darkness rather than the light, for their deeds were evil.
