He arose and struck the Philistines until his hand was weary, and his hand froze to the sword; and YHWH worked a great victory that day; and the people returned after him only to take plunder.


They stood in the middle of the plot, defended it, and killed the Philistines; and YHWH saved them by a great victory.


The three broke through the army of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem that was by the gate, took it, and brought it to David; but David would not drink any of it, but poured it out to YHWH,


They have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.


My soul is continually in my hand, yet I won’t forget your law.


Yes, no one who waits for you will be shamed. They will be shamed who deal treacherously without cause.


Those who hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head. Those who want to cut me off, being my enemies wrongfully, are mighty. I have to restore what I didn’t take away.


They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.


Moses said to the people, “Y’all must not fear. Stand firm and y’all will see the deliverance YHWH will accomplish for y’all today. The Egyptians y’all see today, y’all will never see again.


But know y’all must know-know that if y’all put me to death, y’all will bring innocent blood on yourselves, on this city, and on its inhabitants. For in truth YHWH has sent me to y’all to speak all these words in y’all’s ears.”


So when Pilate saw that nothing was being gained, but that instead a disturbance was starting, he took water and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, “I am innocent of the blood of this righteous person. Y’all take care of it.”


saying, “I have sinned by betraying innocent blood.” But they said, “What is that to us? You take care of that yourself.”

But I don’t consider my life worth even a single mention. Instead I aim to finish my race and the deacon-work which I received from the Lord Jesus—to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.

how will we escape if we neglect so great a salvation? It was first spoken through the Lord and was confirmed to us by those who heard him.

Saul listened to the voice of Jonathan and swore, “As surely as YHWH lives, David will not be put to death.”


Jonathan answered Saul his father, and said to him, “Why should he be put to death? What has he done?”


Then Ahimelech answered the king, and said, “Who among all your servants is so faithful as David, who is the king’s son-in-law, captain of your body guard, and honored in your house?


The woman came to Saul and saw that he was very troubled, and said to him, “Loook, your servant has listened to your voice, and I have put my life in my hand, and have listened to the words you said to me.
