Reuben answered them, saying, “Didn’t I tell y’all, saying, ‘Don’t sin against the boy’? But y’all wouldn’t listen. Now we must account for his blood!”


Whoever sheds human blood, by humans will their blood be shed, for in the image of God God made humankind.


“If a man sins against his neighbor, and an oath is laid on him to cause him to swear, and he comes and swears before your altar in this house,


They reward me evil for good, to the bereaving of my soul.


I have done no wrong, yet they are ready to attack me. Wake up, notice me, and help me!


Whoever rewards evil for good, evil will not depart from their house.


Should evil be repaid for good? For they have dug a pit for my soul. Remember how I stood before you to speak good for them, to turn away your wrath from them.


When y’all sin against them in this manner, wounding their conscience when it is weak, y’all sin against Christ.


Whoever hates their sibling is a murderer, and y’all know that no murderer has eternal life residing in him.
