Y’all must not tell it in Gath. Y’all must not proclaim it in the streets of Ashkelon, lest the daughters of the Philistines rejoice, lest the daughters of the uncircumcised triumph.


David and all the house of Israel played before YHWH with all kinds of instruments made of cypress wood, with harps, with stringed instruments, with tambourines, with castanets, and with cymbals.


Let them praise ʜɪꜱ name with dancing! Let them sing praises to ʜɪᴍ with tambourine and harp!


The Lord announced the word. The ones who proclaim it are a great company.


The singers went in front, the minstrels followed after, among the young women playing with tambourines,


Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a tambourine in her hand, and all the women went out after her with tambourines and with dances.


Miriam answered them, “Sing to YHWH y’all, for ʜᴇ is exalted-exalted. Hᴇ has thrown the horse and his rider into the sea.”
