Then they spat in his face and struck him with their fists. Others slapped him,


If y’all only greet your* siblings, what more do y’all do than others? Don’t even the ethnic groups do the same?


Some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to beat him with fists, and to tell him, “Prophesy!” The officers also took him and beat him.


“If y’all love those who love y’all, what credit is that to y’all? Even sinners love those who love them.


To this present hour we are hungry, thirsty, naked, beaten, and homeless.


But it is always good to be zealous for an excellent cause, and not only when I am present with y’all.


testing what is well pleasing to the Lord.


But I have received everything, and I have an abundance. I am fully supplied, having received from Epaphroditus what y’all sent. It is a sweet-smelling fragrance, an acceptable and pleasing sacrifice to God.


For it is commendable if, because of a consciousness of God, someone endures hardships and unjust suffering.


But even if y’all should suffer for the sake of righteousness, y’all are blessed. “Y’all must not fear what they fear, and do not be troubled.”


For it is better, if it is God’s will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.
