1 Kings 22:6 - Y'all Version Bible

6 Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, about four hundred men, and said to them, “Should I go against Ramoth Gilead to battle, or should I refrain?” They said, “Go up; for the Lord will deliver it into the hand of the king.”

He said to them, “What counsel do y’all give? How should we may answer these people who have said to me, saying, ‘You must lighten the yoke that your father put on us?’”


Now therefore send, and gather to me all Israel to Mount Carmel, and four hundred fifty of the prophets of Baal, and four hundred of the prophets of the Asherah, who eat at Jezebel’s table.”


So Ahab sent to all the children of Israel, and gathered the prophets together to Mount Carmel.


Now the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah were sitting each on his throne, arrayed in their robes, in an open place at the entrance of the gate of Samaria; and all the prophets were prophesying before them.


When he had come to the king, the king said to him, “Micaiah, should we go to Ramoth Gilead to battle, or should we refrain?” He answered him, “Go up and prosper; and YHWH will deliver it into the hand of the king.”


Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, “Please inquire first for the word of YHWH.”


Now y’all must summon to me all the prophets of Baal, all of his worshipers, and all of his priests. Let no one be absent, because I have a great sacrifice for Baal. Whoever is absent will no longer live.” But Jehu did deceptively, intending to destroy the worshipers of Baal.


Elisha said to the king of Israel, “What have I to do with you? Go to the prophets of your father, and to the prophets of your mother.” The king of Israel said to him, “No, for YHWH has called these three kings together to deliver them into the hand of Moab.”


When he came to the king, the king said to him, “Micaiah, should we go to Ramoth Gilead to battle, or should I refrain?” He said, “Y’all should go, and y’all will succeed. They will be delivered into y’all’s hand.”


Have I come up now without YHWH against this land to destroy it? YHWH said to me, “Go up against this land, and destroy it.”’”


The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests rule by their own authority; and my people love to have it so. What will y’all do at the end of it?


Because you have grieved the heart of the righteous with lies, those whom I have not made sad, and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way and be saved alive.


“Y’all beware of false prophets, who come to y’all in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves.


For the time will come when people won’t put up with sound doctrine, but instead they will accumulate teachers who tickle their ears with what they desire.


The beast was seized, and with it the false prophet who made the signs in its presence and deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped its image. The two of them were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur.
